The fake Bourbon Thret stories. In an interview, Darrow stated that book stores in France would be annoyed with him, because customers would always be asking where to find the comics show here, even though they didn’t exist. They only one that seems to have gotten fleshed out was East meets West. Titles are very loosely translated below.

One of the many fake Bourbon Thret adventures advertised on the back over of “Comics and Stories”. This one was called “Le Frigo de Tanino”, which translates to “Tanino’s Fridge”. I” bet that’s a nod to Darrow’s fellow artist and friend, Tanino Liberatore, illustrator of Ranxerox.
