Geof Darrow on his Facebook Page reminisces on Moebius.
“On March 10th of 2012 Jean “Moebius” Giraud moved on and I would be remiss, after all he meant and did for me, to not make note of his passing. I met him, for the first time, one fall night in 1981 in my Hollywood apartment. This is a drawing he did for me that night and I have always treasured it. It was done in a volume of his Lt. Blueberry series, Nez Casse (Broken Nose). I remembered being afraid to look inside the next day for fear it had all been a dream and the drawing had disappeared. It hadn’t and it was not a dream, except to say for me it was a dream come true. I was fortunate enough to meet the artist who meant so much to me and who changed my life. I was lucky to be his friend.
I miss him very much.”
Geof Darrow has confirmed on Facebook that he’s working on Shaolin Cowboy, and that the 3 final issues can be expected in September, October, and November respectively.
From Facebook:
“I‘m back from Tokyo and inking Shaolin Cowboy #1. The first issue is the easiest of the three as it is only 27 pages. I’ll try to go as fast as I can and aim for a September release for issue 1, October issue 2, and November issue 3.
If you are looking for Dostoyevsky this might not be the book for you. However if you sharpen your pencils with a chainsaw, this might be your cup of tea. Action packed!!!!

Final Round- Take 2 -HELP or REBLOG -
Hey all, I don’t like to shamelessly promeote myslef on a blog like this, but I got to spread the word around. I tried once before on kickstarter to fund my graphic novel pitch, but failed. Here’s is my 2nd attempt, have a bit more material prepared, and have a more modest budget.
If anything, please reblog! I want to get this thing seen by Dark Horse, so I can be considered part of that great crowd with artists like Darrow!
Slightly better quality of City of Fire print.
Artwork by Darrow found in the Preface of Dans L’Ombre du Soleil by Colin Wilson.
